So this is the New Year. And I dont feel any different.

  If any of you are like me and love music, you may have had the song "New Year" stuck in your head with the arriving year.  In this song Ben Gibbard solemnly states, "So this is the New Year. And I dont feel any different."
   Well Ben, as a missionary of the Lord, Im here to tell you, you should. What an amazing opportunity we all have to start the New Year and focus on the things that really matter. This possible rebirth of ourselves with the fresh year is a great blessing. Only a possibility is exactly what it is. We have to choose ourselves to not procrastinate.  Just as the great Book of Mormon missionary Amulek said"..this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors."-Alma 34:32
   This is our time. We must prepare, so look forward to the future and leave the past behind. Check out this video by the church that is on the same topic.

  Let us perform our labors. I pray that we all have an "eternal perspective" and make the changes in our lives to come closer to Christ. By doing this we wont have Ben Gibbards problem of feeling no different from last year. We will feel the love of Christ more abundantly.
